Talent Search Event 'Generasi Anak Band' Ready to Shake the Music Industry of the Homeland

Kapanlagi.com - Talent searches in Indonesia have launched many famous solo singers. Seeing the lack of specific talent searches for bands, Gen 98.7 FM radio organized Generasi Anak Band.

Adrian Syarkawie, President Director of Gen 98.7 FM, revealed that the initial idea for this event arose from frequently receiving song demos from band musicians. It would be a shame if their works couldn't be exposed more widely.

"Every day we receive many music band demos. But unfortunately, not all of them can be aired on the radio. From this, we feel the need for a bigger and more directed platform for these bands to showcase their abilities," said Adrian in a press conference in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (9/8/2023).

1. Get Recording Contract

The Anak Band Generation event also involves the renowned recording company, Musica Studios, which has produced NOAH, Geisha, and many more. This is to prove that what is being initiated is not a joke.

"We will search for a band that after the event, we will continue to support them so that their career is not short-lived. Besides the prize of approximately one hundred million, there will be a contract with Musica Studios," said Adrian Syarkawie.

"The winners will definitely receive a two-year contract initially," added Gumilang Ramadhan, the Managing Director of PT Musica Studios, on the same occasion.

2. Invite the Public to Be Witnesses

The Anak Band Generation event also involves the private television station NET TV and the streaming service Vidio, which will oversee how this event runs. So that the public can witness the birth of a band.

"We are safe to hold auditions in Jakarta and Surabaya. The entire program series will be aired on platforms both on-air and digitally so that the whole of Indonesia can be part of history," said Andika Januar, the Program Director of Gen 98.7 FM.
