"I never imagined I would release a vocal single at this age. But when Otte gave me this song and I tried to sing it, he immediately said, ‘Ussy, this song is yours.’ From there, my spirit grew," Ussy stated when met in South Jakarta recently.

The recording process of Sampai Kapan was done wholeheartedly. Ussy was directly involved in vocal processing and making the music video. She collaborated with a creative team consisting of Vicky and Donny, while the musical direction was still held by Otte Abadi. The result is an authentic work, full of appreciation, and feels very personal.

Although this is her first time releasing a vocal song, Ussy Pieters has long been an icon in Indonesian classical music. She has produced three instrumental harp albums and performed with renowned orchestras both domestically and internationally. His steps into the world of music were serious. After graduating from high school, Ussy pursued studies at the St. Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, Italy. There, he earned a Master’s degree in Harp and a Doctor of Music, while also deepening his vocal technique in Lyric Opera. This expertise now supports the quality of his voice in "Sampai Kapan," making him more than just a debut singer.

Although the music industry is now dominated by the younger generation and digital trends, Ussy comes with a strong and profound message. "Never stop creating as long as we are able. Existence in music is not always about fame, but about honesty in expressing oneself," he asserted.
