Virtual Concert Celebrating 9th Anniversary, JKT48 Presents 'Sol and Luna' Theme Full of Meaning

Kapanlagi.com - To celebrate its 9th anniversary, JKT48 held a special concert titled 9th Anniversary JKT48 at Studio 14, MNC Studio, Jakarta on Friday (18/12) last week. The concert was divided into 2 parts with different themes, namely Sol and Luna.

It should be noted that the concert itself was held virtually due to the pandemic situation. JKT48 and the management also did not forget to comply with health protocols, starting from mass COVID-19 testing, thorough location sanitization, to limiting the number of crew members on site.

1. Enthusiastic Reception from Fans

Although the concert was held virtually, it did not diminish the enthusiasm of JKT48 members to give their best performance. Even the stage setup and costumes were prepared with great detail and seriousness, just like a main concert.

The 9th Anniversary JKT48 concert itself was warmly welcomed by fans, both domestically and internationally. There were more than 5000 tickets sold for the concert.

2. Sol and Luna

The first part of the 9th Anniversary Concert of JKT48 with the theme of Sol or Sun. The meaning is that JKT48 is expected to continue shining like the sun despite facing difficulties. In this part, JKT48 members from generation 1 to 9 perform nostalgic songs.

Meanwhile, the second part has the theme of Luna or Moon. In this part, 5 senior members of JKT48 graduated. They are Beby & Frieska from the first generation, Rona & Nadila from the second generation, and Desy from the third generation.

3. Massive Member Reduction

As previously known, Melody made a shocking announcement about JKT48's struggle to survive during the pandemic. After lengthy discussions, they decided to continue, with the condition of a massive reduction in members and staff.
