Welcoming National Music Day, GEKRAFS Presents a Breakthrough Together with Indonesian Musicians

From there, creative economy players, especially in the music sector, are required to show their creativity in order to survive.

Gekrafs (National Creative Economy Movement) is an organization that has been supporting the national music day event, which fell on March 9th yesterday, since 2020. Through this momentum, Gekrafs participated in organizing an event with the theme of Indonesian Music Voice, collaborating with Indonesian musicians from national and regional levels.

This event was held virtually through Zoom and could be watched by all elements of society. On the National Music Day moment, Gekrafs established its collaboration with Wahana Musik Indonesia (WAMI), where WAMI will be a platform for musicians to register their works in the future.

This event also featured Sandiaga Salahudin Uno as the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy and also as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of DPP Gekrafs. Not to mention, several other speakers were also present, such as the General Chairman of DPP Gekrafs, Kawendra Lukistian, Meidi Ferialdi (WAMI), Rizky Diansyah (DDWcom), Sonya Laoh Mendes (CEO & Founder of SRN
Entertainment), Juang Manyala (Musician from Makassar), Ghana Banyu Biru (EO) and Gede Joody (Creator). In addition, a number of famous musicians such as Takaeda, Pika Iskanda and Pongki Barata were also involved in the event.

The National Music Day event is a program that will continue to be a permanent program of Gekrafs in advancing the music industry and developing talent in music. This event is expected to educate the Indonesian community to appreciate more the artists who are involved in the music sector. Through the National Music Day event, Gekrafs' commitment to education and talent development program is that everyone here will learn together, listen, respect, collaborate and strengthen each other.

Gekrafs encourages a learn together program starting from the production, digital, content to business domains that need to be known and learned by the music industry players in the country. Through National Music Day, Gekrafs utilizes this special moment to continue supporting creative economy players in the music sector to never stop creating, being more innovative and staying passionate in collaborating.
