BCW is held at Summarecon Mall Bekasi, not only in one place, but this event takes place in two places, namely The Oval and The Downtown Walk from March 3rd to 6th, 2022. The uniqueness of this BCW event is the educational series presented during the 4-day event, including the Workshop Area presented by PT. Kopi Asli Indonesia Part of Anomali Coffee Group, KOOPI Market, Green House by Classic Beans, and the utilization of coffee grounds into an art painting at Indonesia Kopi Arts.

"Bekasi Coffee Week is held as a form of support and appreciation for the coffee industry in the country. There are 18 booths from UMKM Coffee traders enlivening this BCW event. Visitors who usually have to visit several coffee shops to enjoy various signature coffees can now go to just one place, which is BCW," said Ugi Cahyono, Center Director of Summarecon Mall Bekasi.

"Education about coffee is also one of the objectives of this year's BCW event, so it is hoped that more SMB visitors will love the taste of local coffee, which will have an impact on the sustainability of the business from farmers to coffee shop operators," he added.

For those of you who visit The Oval area, you can participate in the Workshop by Indonesia Coffee Academy to learn more about how to make Latte Art, brew coffee using Manual Brew tools such as French Press, V60, Aeropress, and others, to test the aroma of coffee (Sensory/Aroma Lab) and observe the taste of coffee (Cupping).

There is also a Green House area by Classic Beans, where visitors can see the coffee processing process carried out by farmers, from planting seedlings to planting, picking coffee cherries, peeling coffee fruit using a Pulper, and post-harvest processes (wash process, honey process, natural process), roasting process, coffee bean grinding process (grinding) until the coffee is ready to be brewed.

For visitors, when entering The Oval area, they will be greeted by the aroma of coffee and natural-themed decorations made of wood with beautiful hanging lamps. In this area, there are 18 booths from UMKM coffee traders, including Pavoni Specialty Coffee, Temu Kamu Coffee, Menanti Kopi, Padusi Coffee, Tetirah Supplies.co, and many others.

Bekasi Coffee Week presents various types of local coffee spread throughout Indonesia, such as Aceh Gayo, Toraja, Kintamani, Wamena, and many more. Visitors can also witness barista competitions including Latte Art Throwdown and Manual Brewing Battle with a total prize of up to Rp. 15,000,000.

Stay calm, besides offering a variety of coffee choices, Bekasi Coffee Week also invites inspirational figures. They will definitely share knowledge about coffee in the Coffee Talk session. One person who really understands coffee is Ayi Sutedja (Coffee Activist from Puntang & Bronze Medalist AVPA PARIS 2021) on March 5th, at 17.00 WIB. The event becomes more lively with the presence of Stand Up Comedy by Stand Up Indo Bekasi (March 5th, at 19.00 WIB) and Acoustic Performance (March 3-6, at 20.00 WIB). Among the coffee MSMEs present at the event, there is also Indonesia Kopi Arts, which creates art paintings from coffee grounds. Meanwhile, in The Downtown Walk area, Pasar KOOPI presents a variety of authentic Indonesian coffee beans and various coffee products that can be used as hand sanitizers or shower soaps. Visitors can also shop at Bekasi Coffee Week.
