Not Yet Completely Free, Angelina Sondakh Must Report After Leaving Prison

Kapanlagi.com - After being released from prison, Angelina Sondakh carried out a mandatory report at the South Jakarta Class I Correctional Institution (Bapas), on Friday (4/3/2022). The woman who is commonly called Angie has to report her activities because she has not yet obtained complete freedom after leaving prison.

"In this happy occasion, as the legal team of Angelina Sondakh, I would like to convey information regarding the CMB process. First, that the mother (Angie) as a good citizen during the CMB for approximately 3 months until June 1, 2022. Previously, it has been conveyed regarding the systematics, starting from the reduction of the sentence and others," said Angelina Sondakh's lawyer, Khaeruddin, at Bapas South Jakarta, on Friday (4/3/2022).

"Our purpose of coming here is in accordance with the regulations, Bapas is the technical executor in the process of development, research, and so on. From the guidance and counseling card until the mother is completely free, it is expected to attend again on March 18, but it will be in virtual form," he added.

It is known that Angelina Sondakh has not been declared completely free. Therefore, the late Adjie Massaid's wife must report to Bapas. After reporting, Angelina Sondakh doesn't talk much to the media.

"Her voice is somewhat hoarse. I thank Mr. Ricky, Ms. Putu, Mr. Fajar who have guided me during the reporting," said Angelina Sondakh.

2. Already Received the Reporting Card

Furthermore, Angelina Sondakh also admitted that she has received the reporting card, which she will use until January 2022.

"I have received the card, Insha Allah, on the 18th, I will report again for the media friends, because there is a PPKM regulation, we will schedule it again," she said.

3. 10-Year Criminal Sentence

It is known that Angelina started serving her sentence on April 27, 2012. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison based on the Supreme Court's decision (MA) Number: 1616 K/Pid.Sus/2013.

4. Fine Payment

Not only that, Angelina was also fined Rp500 million (already paid) as subsidiary punishment of 6 months imprisonment and compensation of Rp2.5 billion and US$1.2 million. The compensation has been paid in the amount of Rp8,815,972,722, but there is still a remaining amount of Rp4,538,027,278 as subsidiary punishment of 4 months and 5 days imprisonment.

"On March 3, 2022, Angelina Sondakh will be released from the Women's Penitentiary in Jakarta to start the CMB program as a client of the Correctional Facility with the continued guidance of the South Jakarta Correctional Facility for 3 months," said the Head of Public Relations and Protocol of the Directorate General of Corrections, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Rika Aprianti.

"However, because she has not fully paid the remaining compensation amount of Rp4,538,027,278 as subsidiary punishment of 4 months and 5 days imprisonment, Angelina Sondakh's CMB start date will be on March 3, 2022," she added.

5. Already Meet the Requirements

In addition, Rika said that during the period of serving the sentence, Angelina received a decade remission for three months because she was considered to have fulfilled the administrative and substantive requirements to be given the CMB program, which falls on October 29, 2021. However, Riga emphasized that Angelina Sondakh will still receive guidance to avoid any violations during her parole.

"It means that the parole is not completely free, it has been scheduled since March. Mbak Angie can take the parole before her release, but she will still receive guidance from the correctional facility so that there will be no violations during that period," she concluded.
