Willing to Do Anything for Coldplay Concert, This Indonesian Fan Travels Alone to 5 Countries
Coldplay Latest News
After idolizing Coldplay for 17 years, Arizki finally gets to attend a Coldplay concert for the first time. He first discovered the band in an internet cafe during school truancy, and the song Yellow sparked his love for Chris Martin and the band.
Until 2017, Arizki was determined to travel to 5 countries for Coldplay concerts. He always set aside an extra 2-3 days for each city I visited. One day for the Coldplay concert, and the other days he used to explore and enjoy the vacation. Along with the small guitar that he always brought during the journey.
This is how complicated it is to go alone, taking care of luggage and managing the work that he left behind because I was away for about 25 days leaving Indonesia. This is midnight at Changi Airport, Singapore, shortly before boarding to Manila.
While in Manila, luckily he had the opportunity to enter and see the Coldplay concert venue before the show. Because he was so amazed by Coldplay, being able to enter that area during the preparation was also a fun moment for him.
Self-made poster that he always brings and opens at every Coldplay concert he watches. And in Manila, it was the best concert for Arizki because the Coldplay vocalist clearly saw and pointed at me when he sang at the right edge of the stage where his position was right in front of me who was standing at the very front.
For a fan who can attend a concert, getting "Memorabilia" from the concert and the idol really becomes something very valuable to me. This time he could get the stage songlist, unfortunately, there was no signature.
From Bangkok, Arizki headed to Taiwan. The first time in his life going to Taiwan, only to watch the Coldplay concert, and at the same time it became a journey that made him sad because he shouldn't have gone to Taiwan alone.
Besides going to Taiwan for the first time, Arizki also went to Japan for the first time, a country in Asia that he has always dreamed of visiting. This time, he also watched Coldplay concert. He spent a week in Japan and took the opportunity to take a photo with the legendary Hachiko statue.
The Coldplay concert in Japan was the closing of their Asia Tour. It was a bit disappointing for Arizki because the concert tickets were randomly assigned, so he was far away from the main stage. Moreover, all the audience had to watch while sitting. Arizki hopes and prays that this is not the last Coldplay concert he can witness.
