5 Finalists of Tata Wastra 2025 Ready to Showcase Their Best Works, Who's Your Champion?

Kapanlagi.com - The Tata Wastra 2025 event is now nearing its peak stage! The fashion competition that highlights the richness of Nusantara textiles has selected five best finalists from hundreds of applicants this year. In its second year, Tata Wastra presents a selection format that is even more challenging. Participants must pass through three stages before being selected to showcase works with the theme 'Elegance of Cultural Heritage in Everyday Wear'.

Curious about who the five finalists are that will compete for the champion title? Let’s get to know them one by one!

1. Ayu Nur Khofipah

This young woman from Bandung is not an unfamiliar name in the fashion world. Graduating from design school in 2022, Ayu is now active as a fashion designer at a local textile company. Her track record is impressive, KLovers! Ayu has been in the Top 2 at ISAW Indonesia, Top 3 at Tangerang Fashion Parade, and Top 12 at the Fashionality by Garuda Tactical event.

2. Carron Angel

Still sitting in the LaSalle College Jakarta classroom, Carron Angel already has an impressive portfolio. Her feminine and elegant design style, with a touch of pink, is her trademark. Carron's works were showcased on the Indonesia Fashion Week 2024 stage and she won 2nd place in the YOUC1000 Fashion Design Contest. So cool!

3. Desi Dwi Lestari

This ESMOD Jakarta alum is known for her strong artistic taste. She masters various aspects of design, from the initial idea to creating ready to wear clothing. Desi is also active as a stylist, graphic designer, and even print artist. Her achievements include winning the Deco Reco Upcycle and being a finalist in the Asia Newgen Fashion Award 2022.

4. Human Jasir

After five years of experience in the fashion industry, Human Jasir has a high flight hour, KLovers. He was part of the design team at GHEA Indonesia for over five years. Not only is he skilled in design, but he also understands production techniques and fashion illustration. His achievements include 1st place at INACRAFT Young Fashion Designer 2024 and 2nd place at the Central Sulawesi Fashion Designer Competition.

5. Nadila Nurfaiza

The youngest finalist this time comes from the Islamic Fashion Institute (IFI). Nadila has just graduated from the fashion design cluster and is ready to showcase her talent. Last year, she already tasted victory by winning 2nd place at the West Java's Young Fashion Designer Competition. For Tata Wastra, she raised the theme YUNARA, a blend of Chinese and Javanese culture that is full of meaning, using the distinctive Batik Trusmi from Cirebon.
