The 'Barista' Polemic Unveiled, One Solution to Enjoy Coffee at Home During the Pandemic
Baristan is a term abbreviation for Instant Coffee Barista.
Kapanlagi.com - The term 'Baristan' has recently emerged and sparked debate in the online world. Initially, it was due to a banner with the word 'Baristan' which many people thought was a typo and should have been written as Barista.
After investigating, it turns out that the term is not a typo, but has its own meaning. Yes, Baristan is known as an abbreviation of 'Instant Coffee Barista'. This term was popularized by PT Sumber Kopi Prima or better known as Caffino.
To further clarify the concept of 'Baristan', Caffino held a Press Conference entitled 'Baristan - Quality Coffee Solutions at Home' which was held online on Tuesday (22/3). On that occasion, several public figures were present and spoke, such as Professional Barista Muhammad Aga, Chef Jerry Andrean who was the Champion of MasterChef Indonesia Season 7, and popular celebrity and coffee lover Livy Renata.

Muhammad Aga believes that regardless of the debates that arise, drinking coffee is a culture that has been rooted in the majority of Indonesian society since ancient times. According to the 2018 Indonesian Barista Champion, there are many positive things and impacts that arise from the habit of drinking coffee, without having to differentiate between the choice of professional blend or instant coffee.
"For me, to produce quality coffee drinks, it is essential to use ingredients that are also of high quality. This applies to both professional baristas and laypeople. I see that Caffino is already guaranteed in terms of the quality of its basic coffee and milk ingredients. So, even laypeople can have the choice and means to make their own coffee that is also delicious and of high quality," explained the figure who also played a role in the film FILOSOFI KOPI.

Chef Jerry Andrean also said that coffee is one of the favorite drinks of Indonesian people that can be enjoyed in various ways and opportunities. According to Jerry, Caffino instant coffee can be the right choice for people to easily make their own coffee drink without losing the quality that is often associated with cafe coffee.
"Just like cooking, making delicious coffee doesn't always have to be with complicated methods or techniques. Sometimes with simple steps, we can make a delicious coffee drink. For example, with Caffino Dark Cappuccino, as long as the temperature and water measurement are correct and the brewing method is right, then the resulting cup of coffee will definitely taste great," said Chef Jerry.
The pleasure of Caffino coffee is also recognized by a popular figure on social media lately, Livy Renata. This figure, who is popular for her innocence and high-class lifestyle, even admitted that she almost never tasted instant coffee throughout her life. Accustomed to coffee served in cafes or restaurants, Livy was surprised when she first tasted Caffino coffee.
"To be honest, Livy rarely drinks instant coffee. Livy usually drinks coffee at cafes. Only now I know that Caffino instant coffee tastes this good. If it's this easy, Livy can also make it herself and it will definitely be delicious. Maybe next time Livy will really become a barista," she laughed.
Now, do you think you're good at making instant coffee, KLovers? :)
