Kapanlagi.com - Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) commemorates it by awarding honors to individuals who have contributed to our country, from Indonesia to Indonesia. One of the prestigious awards is the World Record given to the pride of Indonesia, Dr. Nicolaas C. Budhiparama, MD., PhD., SpOT (K).
Dr. Nicolaas Budhiparama is an Indonesian Specialist Orthopedic and Traumatology Doctor who completed his specialization degree at Leiden University Medical Center, Netherlands. With the trust of several world orthopedic organizations, he has been appointed as the President of three world orthopedic organizations concurrently.
As of August 22, 2020, Dr. Nicolaas serves as the President of A.S.I.A (Arhtoplasty Society in Asia) for the 2019-2021 term, President of A.P.K.S. (Asia Pacific Knee Society) for the 2019-2021 term, and President of A.P.A.S. (Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society) for the 2020-2022 term. The World Record is awarded for the Indonesian Human Record who Serves in Three World Orthopedic Organizations.
"Thank you for the dedication you have given, especially for the younger generation of Indonesia, so that they are not inferior to Dr. Nicolaas Budhiparama," said Jaya Suprana as the Chairman of MURI.
Welcoming this, Dr. Nicolaas gave advice to the young generation of Indonesia, not only doctors but all generations in Indonesia. "Think back. Don't feel inferior as an Indonesian, because Indonesians are definitely better than others," he said.
"To achieve the highest success, what I often say to my students is never be jealous and envious of the success of others. But learn and strive as hard as possible, and pray number 1 so that we can be more successful than that person, and not think about how to bring that person down but how we can be more successful than anyone in this world. That's my message to the young generation," he added.
The event, which was held online through the ZOOM platform on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, was opened by Awan Rahargo as the Representative of MURI and attended by several figures including Jaya Suprana as the Chairman of MURI and Prof. Dr. Emil Salim.
