Kapanlagi.com - The fourth round of the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2024 has successfully taken place at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok, on July 27-28, 2024. This prestigious Asian motorcycle racing event was participated by 94 riders from 14 countries competing in 4 racing classes, namely Underbone 150cc (UB150), Asia Production 250cc (AP250), Supersports 600cc (SS600), and Asia Superbikes 1,000cc (ASB 1000).

Indonesia also sent its proud representatives, one of which is the Astra Honda Racing Team (AHRT) dominated by talented young riders with promising skills. Intense competition took place over 2 consecutive days, and AHRT successfully brought honor to the homeland by winning the double podium title on Sunday (28/07/2024).

1. Double Podium in SS600 Class

AHRT racers participated in 2 championship classes, namely AP250 and SS600. In the first class, SS600, M. Adenanta Putra and Veda Ega Pratama successfully secured the first and second podiums.

The race was quite intense where from the start both Adenanta and Veda managed to maintain their positions in the top 3. After overtaking each other and other racers until the end of the race, in the last lap Adenanta managed to perform an overtake and became the champion of the second race of the fourth round of ARRC, followed by Veda who secured the second podium and waved the Red and White flag in the SS600 class.

This victory marks a historic moment for Adenanta as it is his first time winning a race in the SS600 class and AHRT becomes the first Indonesian racing team to have 2 racers achieve a double podium for first and second place.

Not only Adenanta and Veda, other young AHRT racers also showcased their best racing actions. For instance, Fadillah Arbi Aditama, who participated as a wild card racer in the fourth round of ARRC 2024, finished in 4th place, and Rheza Danica Ahrens finished in 5th place.

“Alhamdulillah, finally my target to achieve victory has come true. My hard work and that of the Astra Honda team paid off through a very tight battle. This victory I dedicate to the Astra Honda team and the Indonesian people,” said Adenanta.

2. AP250 Class Delivers Amazing Results

Meanwhile, in the AP250 class, AHRT fielded two racers, namely M.Kiandra Ramadhipa and Herjun Atna Firdaus. Together with the CBR250RR, in the second race Ramadhipa showcased a competitive racing performance to secure the top podium.

Starting the race from the second grid in sixth position, Ramadhipa aimed to stay in the front group from the start. Having briefly led the group, approaching the final lap, Ramadhipa ultimately secured the second podium with a very narrow margin from the first place winner.

In the first series held the day before, Herjun Atna Firdaus and M.Kiandra Ramadhipa, competing in the AP250 class, nearly reached the podium. Facing new challenges with a reduction of 200 RPM in this round, both talented racers remained competitive. Ramadhipa started the race from sixth position. Continuing to strive to appear optimistic, Ramadhipa had to be satisfied finishing the race in 6th place, followed by Herjun in 7th position.

“Alhamdulillah, I managed to reach the podium in 2nd place in race 2. Learning from the first race yesterday, I tried to change my strategy to be calmer and gradually enter the front group. My strategy worked, in a few laps I was able to lead the race. Unfortunately, the battle was very tight in the final lap. I couldn't maintain the first position. Nevertheless, this is the best result I could achieve. Thank you to the team who have worked hard to provide the best setting for my CBR250RR. Thank you to everyone who has supported me,” said Ramadhipa.

3. Commitment to Support Local Racer Talent

The success achieved by young racers from the homeland in the ARRC 2024 is proof that young Indonesians also possess impressive skills if they receive good training. AHM itself has always been committed to supporting the dreams of Indonesian racers with the Spirit of One Heart. The AHRT racers involved in the event are also alumni of the Astra Honda Racing School, you know!

General Manager of Marketing Planning & Analysis Division AHM Andy Wijaya said this victory is the result of the efforts of the racers and mechanics to continuously present the best for the public. The unwavering support provided by the Indonesian people for the AHRT racers certainly becomes a unique energy for the racers when competing in their own country, bringing the name of Indonesia to prestigious racing stages, especially at the Asian level.

“This weekend's race was very thrilling and also proud for Indonesia. Of course, the positive results achieved by the AHRT racers can be a motivation to continue achieving various brilliant accomplishments in the upcoming rounds. We will continue to accompany and provide unwavering support to the best talents in this country to reach the highest dreams in the racing world,” said Andy.

The competition among the best racers in Asia will continue on September 13-15, 2024, in the fifth round held at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia.
