Ayu Azhari Introduces Indonesian Cuisine Through a Song

Kapanlagi.com - Ayu Azhari is trying to introduce various Indonesian culinary through songs. There are 10 songs packaged in an album titled Kuliner. 

According to Ayu, the songs in the Kuliner album are old songs that have been rearranged with contemporary music to be more accepted by music listeners.

"Actually, these songs have been around for a long time and I'm just reintroducing them to make local food more attractive, and with culinary songs, people will remember and get to know them," said Ayu at the mini Ngopi Daring Bela Negara studio, Jakarta, on Thursday (21/10/2021).

In addition, producing a culinary album is also said by Ayu to be one of the tangible expressions of her love for the homeland and defending the country in everyday life.

Ayu's statement was affirmed by the Director of Bela Negara of the Directorate General of POTHA at the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General TNI Dr. Jubei Rianto.

"We need to promote culinary songs because one of the values of defending the country is love for the homeland. Now, these culinary songs are one form of concrete action in defending the country. By singing these culinary songs, we will be proud of domestic products, especially food," he said.

1. Launch Culinary Album

Furthermore, Ayu Azhari announced the launch of the Culinary album which contains 10 songs, available on October 31, 2021, on various digital music platforms.

In the process of making the album, Ayu was assisted by musicians Roberto and Devian as music arrangers.

Regarding the reason for choosing 10 songs from the many culinary options in Indonesia, Ayu said it was related to the ownership and licensing of the songs.

"Actually, there are many songs (about typical Indonesian cuisine). But this is related to ownership and licensing," she said.
