Not only did he inform that he was resting, Yana also claimed to have met someone who hitchhiked with him, stating that they were heading in the same direction towards Sumedang city.

After informing his wife, it was known that Yana continued his journey to Sumedang city. Not long after, Yana sent another voice message to his wife. Unlike the previous voice message, Yana appeared scared in this voice message and admitted that he could no longer bear it, stating that the person who hitchhiked with him was a bad person.

Growing concerned about Yana's condition, the family finally reported to the South Sumedang Police on Tuesday (16/11/2021) at 19:30 WIB. After receiving the report, personnel from the Sumedang Police, TNI, and BPBD conducted a search in the Cadas Pangeran area. The Sumedang Resort Police also collaborated with the Majalengka Resort Police to find Yana in the Dawuan sub-district of Majalengka Regency.

Even search dogs were deployed by the police to locate Yana. The search for Yana continued for three consecutive days without pause, but the results were futile. Only a motorcycle and helmet were found. Speculations about Yana's disappearance began to emerge during those three days and nights without any findings.
