Enlivened by a Number of Indonesian Musicians, 20 Thousand People Visit Simpedes BRI People's Party in Pandaan

The event, which is presented by BRI Simpedes Savings, was successfully held for two days, namely August 26-27, 2023. As information, PRS is a tangible form of BRI's support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). It is also the main focus of BRI in empowering MSMEs as well as increasing digital literacy.

The Minister of State-Owned Enterprises of Indonesia, Erick Thohir, who attended the event, said that the PRS event is a learning medium for MSMEs to showcase their products and obtain information and innovations to improve the quality of their products. "The Simpedes People's Party is also a party for those who want to succeed. Don't limit yourself, as evidenced by the fact that there are MSMEs that can even export their products abroad," he said.

An Extraordinary Ecosystem to Help MSMEs

According to him, BRI has become an extraordinary ecosystem to help MSMEs. "Because the BRI system has become an extraordinary ecosystem, not only Bank BRI but also PNM and Pegadaian are part of the Ultra Micro Holding, making the ecosystem a strength," he added. In the BUMN 2024-2034 blueprint, it is stated that MSMEs are a priority, along with the modernization of infrastructure.

In line with this, the President Director of BRI, Sunarso, stated that this event is a momentum for the revival of Indonesian MSME players to drive the national economy. "PRS is an event that is regularly held annually by BRI since 2008 as a platform for empowering MSMEs. Every year, BRI holds PRS in no less than 300 locations throughout Indonesia," he said. Special for this year, the PRS event has been held since July 2023, this year the PRS will be held at 382 points spread across Indonesia, involving approximately 5,000 MSMEs.

As we know, MSMEs are the most important pillar in the Indonesian economy. Based on data from the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, the number of MSMEs reaching 64.2 million contributes 61.07% to GDP or equivalent to Rp8,573.89 trillion. The contribution of MSMEs to the Indonesian economy also has the ability to absorb 97% of the total Indonesian workforce.

“Reflecting on this condition, BRI considers that MSME players in Indonesia are in great need of consistent and sustainable education rather than advocacy. So far, some forms of BRI's commitment to empowering MSMEs include the establishment of the Ultra Micro Holding together with Pegadaian and PNM,” he added.

PRS Becomes a Platform for MSME Players to Introduce Their Products

PRS also becomes a momentum for MSME players to introduce their products to the wider community, so that through this activity, they can increase sales or turnover from their business. In this PRS activity, BRI also provides facilities for MSME players to expand their marketing, obtain training for business development, and opportunities for business collaboration.

For information, PRS BRI Pandaan presents more than 150 leading BRI fostered MSMEs in East Java, the general public, and hundreds of cultural activist communities in East Java. In addition to various MSME empowerment programs and digital financial literacy, a series of interesting art and entertainment events are presented. Starting from an art and culture parade followed by more than 500 participants including marching bands, fashion parades, reog and jaranan traditional dances, Majapahit cultural parade between villages, to a special wayang performance.
