Leave Shoes and Socks, Mountaineer Panderman Not Yet Found

Kapanlagi.com - A Joint Team is currently conducting a search for a mountaineer who got lost in the Panderman Mountain Area in Batu City. The mountaineer named Jopi Pranata has been declared missing since his departure on Friday (10/4).

The Head of the Emergency and Disaster Section of the Batu City BPBD, Achmad Choirur Rochim, explained that the victim initially departed with a group to Mount Buthak, the Panderman Mountain area. The group left on Friday (10/4) at 08.00 AM and arrived at Post 3 (Kali Ampuh) at 07.00 PM to rest for a moment.

"When continuing the journey, the survivor ran downhill, exiting the climbing path and jumping into the bushes. Around the last seen area, only the survivor's shoes, socks, and hat were found," explained Rochim in his statement, Monday (13/4).

However, after a distance of about 50 meters, the victim's trace was no longer found. For 2 days, the search party has been looking for the victim by setting up a tent at Camp 3.

2. Search Conducted

The search operation is carried out by Polsek Batu, Perhutani, Linmas, and volunteers. Two friends of the victim also participated in the search. The team departed at 06.00 WIB through Parangterjo Village, Dau District, Malang Regency.

Currently, personnel from Basarnas Surabaya, Koramil Junrejo, Polsek Junrejo, Perhutani, Tlekung Village officials, Batu City Tagana, Batu City RAPI, Tlekung Linmas, and local residents are coordinating for further search operations at the Parangtejo Camp.
