In order to attract foreign tourists, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises has reactivated the cultural festival at Ngurah Rai and Soekarno Hatta airports, as the gateway for the arrival of foreign tourists.

"Yesterday we reactivated it in Bali, art enthusiasts were very happy that they could resume activities after 2 years of difficulty in finding activities," said Erick Thohir.

2. Already Held Several Years Ago

"In early January 2020, BUMN made a breakthrough that the airport is a place to showcase culture, so we conduct cultural activities several times a week at crowded points at the airport when passengers arrive and depart," explained Erick Thohir.

Through this cultural festival, the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Erick Thohir, wants local communities to remember the beauty of Indonesia's diverse cultures.

"Because of Indonesia's diverse ethnicities, languages and religions, as well as foreign tourists who can be inspired by Indonesia's beautiful culture and our nationalism that highly respects differences, it becomes a strength," he said.

"Due to the Covid pandemic, the Indonesian cultural festival at the airport was halted. In early June, when the Covid storm subsided, we BUMN dared to reactivate the Indonesian cultural festival at Bali - Ngurah Rai Airport and Soekarno Hatta Airport. Previously, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir also revealed that he did not want Indonesia to become a country that is poor in science and modern health industries. Thus, he encouraged transformation in the health sector of BUMNs.

"The transformation that we carry out in BUMN is the same, because it is impossible for us as a great nation to be poor in science and modern health industries," said Erick Thohir during the Kick-Off of Phase 3 Clinical Trials for the Covid-19 Vaccine of BUMN, on Thursday (9/6/2022).

5. National Resilience in the Health Sector

Erick Thohir stated that the pandemic proved that the strength or resilience of a country lies in the health sector. Thus, he did not want Indonesia to be unable to overcome such challenges.

"As a great nation, it is impossible for us not to want to be sovereign in our health. Covid-19 has proven how our dependence is very burdensome," he said.

6. Support for Greater Competitiveness
