Officially Opened, Jakarta Fair 2024 Presents the Largest Exhibition in Southeast Asia

Kapanlagi.com - Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) 2024 was officially opened by President Joko Widodo on Wednesday (16/6). In his speech, Jokowi stated that Jakarta Fair is one of the most anticipated events by the entire society.

Not only from Jakarta, but people from outside Jabodetabek are also enthusiastic about coming to this largest, most comprehensive, and longest-running event in Southeast Asia. Unlike previous years, JFK this year carries the theme 'National Economic Growth in Indonesia and Competitiveness in the World Market'.

The opening ceremony of Jakarta Fair 2024 began with a presentation by the Director of PT JIEXPO, Karuna Murdaya. The event continued with presentations by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono, and a speech by President Joko Widodo.

"At Jakarta Fair Kemayoran, people can enjoy entertainment and shopping at affordable prices. From culinary delights, amusement rides, carnival parades, to music concerts. That's what makes Jakarta Fair interesting," said at the main stage of Jakarta Fair, Jakarta International Expo, Jakarta Pusat, on Wednesday (12/6).

Jokowi also appreciates Jakarta Fair for continuously existing to spoil the people. Moreover, this event also contributes to boosting the economy of DKI Jakarta as well as the nation.

"Jakarta Fair has been held for the 55th time, meaning it is an event that is regularly held from year to year. Last year, it was visited by more than 6 million visitors, which is an extraordinary achievement," said Jokowi.

3. Theme of Jakarta Fair 2024

Meanwhile, Director of JIEXPO Karuna Murdaya explained that this year's Jakarta Fair carries the theme "Jakarta Fair Supporting National Economic Growth in Indonesia". The chosen Sub-Theme is "Let's All Enthusiastically Promote National and International Industrialization, Innovation, and Trade".

"The theme and sub-theme are the vision and mission of Jakarta Fair Kemayoran to contribute to increasing employment opportunities, reducing unemployment, and improving the productivity of the Indonesian people. Especially in the field of promotion and trade, the goods and services produced by the Indonesian people," he said.

4. Focus on Economic Development

Not only that, Jakarta Fair Kemayoran in Indonesia also focuses on the development of the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) industry.

"JIEXPO invites large, medium, small, and microeconomic players to participate and serve for the progress of our beloved Indonesian economy," he said.
