Optimizing Road and Drainage Repairs, Tangerang City Government Seriously Boosts Infrastructure

The city, known as Akhlakul Karimah, has completed the repair of the Cikokol Fly Over Ramp. Currently, the road section connecting MH. Thamrin to the Cikokol Fly Over towards Jendral Sudirman Road can already be used by vehicles.

The completion of the 438-meter-long and 8-meter-wide repair has not made the Tangerang City Government complacent. Under the command of Arief R Wismansyah, the Tangerang City Government continues to boost infrastructure development, especially the repair of damaged roads.

In addition to repairing the Cikokol Fly Over, several roads in Tangerang City that are damaged have not escaped the attention of the Tangerang City Government, such as KS Tubun Street in Karawaci Subdistrict, Teuku Umar Street in Cikokol Subdistrict, and Imam Bonjol Street in Karawaci Subdistrict.

Tangerang Mayor Arief R. Wismansyah said that the Tangerang City Government, through the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (PUPR) of Tangerang City, is still carrying out road repairs in Tangerang City in order to provide comfort for road users. Arief also asks residents to take good care of the city's infrastructure and be responsible.

"The DPUPR team is still carrying out road repairs to improve the condition of roads in Tangerang City," said Arief.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency, Decky Priambodo, explained that the condition of KS Tubun Street is severely damaged at the moment. The road is full of holes and cracks due to repairs. The handling of the road repairs is approximately 385 meters x 3 meters. As for the diversion route, it can still pass through Jalan Pintu Air 10 and Jalan Sangego.

"Jalan KS Tubun in Karawaci District, Tangerang City is currently under repair to address the damage. Traffic flow on the road is diverted to alleviate congestion," explained Decky.

Not only road repairs, the Tangerang City Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency through the West Region Drainage Division also carried out location normalization on Dadang Suprapto Grendeng Street, Karawaci District. Normalization is done by removing trash and mud that obstruct the water flow. Normalization is carried out to anticipate floods during the rainy season.

To alleviate the flood problem in Tangerang City, the Tangerang City Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (DPUPR) also recently installed bamboo dams and stakes on the Angke River embankment at RT 05/002, Nerogtog Village, Pinang District as an emergency embankment anticipation. (*)
