Police Patrol Car in Malang Hits 7 Vehicles and Injures 4 Victims, Driver's Physical and Mental Health Examined

Kapanlagi.com - Malang City Police officer, Aiptu CH, will undergo a health examination after crashing into seven vehicles using a patrol car. Aiptu CH will also undergo a mental test to determine the exact cause of the accident.

CH lost control while driving the patrol car of Kedungkandang Police Station in Malang City, and subsequently hit motorcycles and cars along Ki Ageng Gribig Street. As a result, 4 people were injured and had to receive treatment at the hospital.

Leo asserts that the incident is currently being investigated by obtaining statements from several witnesses who are believed to have knowledge of the incident. Sanctions or punishment will be imposed on the members according to the elements of their wrongdoing based on the results of the investigation.

Meanwhile, the victims are receiving immediate treatment at Saiful Anwar Hospital (RSSA) in Malang. The number of victims requiring treatment is 4 people and there were no fatalities as discussed on social media. The vehicle owners will also receive compensation for the damage.

"We will check and investigate, especially the driver. We will impose punishment on this member, but most importantly, we will treat all the victims and provide compensation," he explained.

2. Brake Failure?

Former Batu Police Chief apologized to the victims for the incident. Leo visited the victims who were being treated at RSSA Hospital in Malang, as well as inspected the scene of the incident.

Meanwhile, the Head of Traffic at Malang City Police, Kompol Priyanto, requested time for the investigation process of the incident. However, he confirmed that seven vehicles were involved in the incident.

"The investigation is still ongoing, we will inform you later. There were 5 two-wheeled vehicles and 2 four-wheeled vehicles involved, so a total of 7 vehicles," he stated.

Priyanto refused to make a statement regarding the possibility of brake failure causing the driver to lose control. "This is part of the ongoing investigation, we will inform you when the results are ready. Please give us time so that there is no confusion and no conflicting chronology. The driver has been detained at the Police Station," he emphasized.

Meanwhile, the victims of motorcycle riders who received treatment include Sukadi (60) from Lesanpuro II, Muchammad Fahmi Fikri (29) from Jl. Kebalen Wetan, Aulia Fahda (19) from Jl. Jaksa Agung Soeprapto, Asrikaton, Pakis, and Ardi Kusuma (18) from Jl. Banyu Anyar 2 RT:05, RW:01, Bululawang.

The Patrol Car of Kedungkandang Police Station collided with several vehicles after refueling at the Lesanpuro Gas Station in Malang City. The Mitsubishi Kuda car was traveling from north to south and collided with motorcycles on Jl. Ki Ageng Gribig in front of the BKKBN Office in Kedungkandang Sub-District.

The vehicle continued to drive fast and approximately 50 meters later, it collided with 2 (two) more motorcycles. The second location was in front of SDN Kedungkandang 01 in Malang City. The car kept driving and collided with another motorcycle in front of Bengkel Sahabat, which was 25 meters away from the second location.

Not stopping there, the car grazed 2 motorcycle units and a black Avanza car in front of the Kedungkandang Sub-District Field, Malang City, which was 400 meters away from the third location. The vehicle then experienced a flat tire and reduced speed before stopping on the right side of the road. The car stopped not far from the Kedungkandang Police Station.
