Portrait of Ni Nengah Widiasih, Beautiful Weightlifter who Achieved Indonesia's First Medal at the 2021 Paralympics

Ni Nengah Widiasih departed for Tokyo with full enthusiasm. This is her third Paralympic Games that she has participated in as a weightlifter.

This 28-year-old athlete was born in Bali. Since childhood, she has suffered from a leg disability and has to use crutches and a wheelchair.

However, her physical disability does not break Widi's spirit. She finds happiness in sports.

When not exercising, Widi enjoys his life by relaxing at a hotel, also known as staycation.

However, part of his daily routine is spent at the training facility. He diligently trains for various competitions, both domestically and internationally.

Another sport that Widi enjoys is swimming. He enjoys moments in the water just like when lifting weights.

Last year in 2020, Widi took the CPNS test organized by the government for accomplished athletes. And he passed.

In the 2021 Paralympics held in Tokyo, Widi successfully won a silver medal. This is his first medal in this year's Paralympics.

Last year in 2016, Widi won a bronze medal at the Rio de Janeiro Paralympics. Now she is improving her achievement with another bronze medal. Congratulations, Widi!
