The Family of the Perpetrator Invited to Review the Police Post Targeted for Vandalism

The Malang Police Chief emphasized the importance of all parties witnessing firsthand the real impact of anarchic actions. He believes this step is not just a visit, but also a form of collective learning to prevent similar incidents from happening again.

"By seeing it directly, everyone will understand that acts of vandalism not only harm the police, but also harm the wider community that should receive services at the police station," said AKBP Danang during the event on Monday (1/9).

The family and parents of the alleged perpetrator appeared to follow the event with great concern. They witnessed the damage to public facilities that have been used for community services. The police chief hopes this moment will become a turning point for collective awareness.

The Regent of Malang, Sanusi, who was present, also reminded all parties to respect each other and not to be easily provoked. "Let’s keep Malang Regency conducive. All citizens have the same rights; expressing opinions in public can be done according to the rules," he emphasized.

The Public Relations Officer of Malang Police, AKP Bambang Subinajar, added that this visit is also part of a persuasive approach by the police. They want families, especially parents, to understand directly the consequences of the actions taken. “The hope is that this can serve as a reflection so that our children are not easily provoked in the future,” said AKP Bambang.

He emphasized that the Malang Police not only enforces the law but also strives to maintain familial relationships with the community. They believe that the involvement of parents and community leaders will serve as an effective preventive barrier.

"With a shared awareness, we believe that security and order can be maintained even better," concluded Bambang.

13 young people were secured in the vandalism of a Police Post in Malang Regency, Sunday (31/8/2025) early morning. Of that number, 6 of them are still classified as children. The suspected perpetrators of the vandalism were reunited with their families at the Malang Police Headquarters.
