Kapanlagi.com - When Abhishek Bachchan started his career in Bollywood, many said it was because he was the son of actor Amitabh Bachchan. Even until now, Abhishek's hard work is always overshadowed by the name of Big B and he is said to be unable to match his father's achievements.
Regarding achievements, Abhishek does not deny that he is still far behind his father. But when it comes to a career in Bollywood, Abhishek admits that it is the result of his own hard work.
The 44-year-old man revealed this on his Instagram account, @bachchan yesterday, Monday (22/6). When commemorating 2 decades in Bollywood, Abhishek recalled how difficult it was for him to break into the tough film industry that his father pursued.

"#Roadto20 Year-2009 #Delhi6 #Paa Many people don't know that in 1998, @rakeyshommehra and I wanted to start our film careers together. He became the director of the film SAMJHAUTA EXPRESS which we both wrote the script for. But even though we worked hard, we couldn't find anyone willing to launch the project. (Before having the idea to make SAMJHAUTA EXPRESS) I forgot how many producers and directors I met and asked for a chance to act. But none of them succeeded!" writes Abhishek Bachchan.
Failing to get roles and acting opportunities from directors and producers in Bollywood is what made Abhishek and Rakeysh have the idea to make their own project. "We are both friends and decided to create something where Rakeysh would be the director and I would be the actor. That's what gave birth to SAMJHAUTA EXPRESS. Unfortunately, the film was never made (a regret we still feel to this day)," explains the father of one child.
It turns out that Abhishek Bachchan's dream of acting finally came true after he met director JP Saab. Failing to launch a project with Raykesh, Abhishek worked with this famous director.
"Raykesh continued to make AKS with my father, and I was luckily discovered by JB Saab. He liked my 'appearance'. My hair grew long and bearded for SE. JP Saab is thinking of making AKHRI MUGHAL (historical story) and looking for a new face that is still young, luckily it's me," he said.

The AKHRI MUGHAL project that caught the attention of Abhishek turned out to fail as well. However, JP Saab cast Abhishek to play in the film REFUGEE which then became his debut project.
"He never made AKHRI MUGHAL but instead made REFUGEE. More than 10 years later, Rakeysh and I finally succeeded in collaborating on the beautiful and still very relevant film DELHI 6. The actors were very good. We were all like one big family, always together even after the film was finished. Great senior actors who I could only dream of acting with. A very special experience. This is the second film for @sonamkapoor and my second film with Bibi Waheda Rehman. And it became my first film with the actor Rishi Kapoor whom I idolize and always pray to be able to act alongside. Although Uncle Chintu and I only had a few scenes together, I will never forget the shooting," he continued.
After that, Abhishek Bachchan's career went quite smoothly in Bollywood. Not only an actor, this husband of Aishwarya Rai also tried his hand at producing and succeeded in the market.
However, Abhishek's journey was not as smooth as a toll road. Many of his films flopped in the market and he has not really become the leading star sought after by producers like Shahrukh Khan or Amitabh Bachchan.
In the past two years, Abhishek has not acted in any films at all. He only took on a script again in 2020, but his project is still postponed due to the pandemic.
