Pandemic Not Over Yet! Bollywood Legend Amitabh Bachchan Tests Positive for Covid-19

Recently, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, 77 years old, announced that he has tested positive for the virus. He conveyed this directly through his Twitter social media account.

"I have tested positive for Covid and I am being treated in the hospital. My family is also being tested and we are still waiting for the results," wrote Amitabh Bachchan on Saturday (11/7).

1. Father and Son Test Positive for Covid-19

Not only Amitabh, his son who is also a Bollywood actor, Abhisek Bachchan, is reportedly positive for Covid-19. Currently, both the father and son are receiving intensive treatment at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai, India.

Through his Twitter, Abishek briefly explained the current condition faced by him and Amitabh. Abishek also asked everyone to remain calm and not panic.

"Both of us are experiencing mild symptoms and are being treated at the hospital. We have informed all the authorities. Currently, the entire family and staff are undergoing tests. I appeal to everyone to remain calm and not panic," said Abishek.

2. Highest Number

So far, Mumbai has recorded more than 84,500 positive cases of Covid-19. In the last 24 hours, India recorded the highest number of new infections with 27,114 cases, placing India as the third highest in terms of the most cases after the United States and Brazil.
