20 Years Have Passed, Revalina S. Temat Never Expected to Still Be Recognized as Bawang Putih

Kapanlagi.com - The name Revalina S. Temat is still closely associated with the character Bawang Putih that she portrayed in the soap opera Bawang Merah Bawang Putih about two decades ago. Although she has starred in many other roles, she admits that she is still often called by that character's name.

"Masyaallah, even until now, I still have a lot of people calling me Bawang Putih, even though that was 20 years ago," said Revalina when met in the Serpong area, South Tangerang, Wednesday (22/1/2025).

Revalina did not expect the impact of her role in the soap opera to still be felt today.

"So, but because the soap opera was also a huge hit, people still recognize me. So, masyaallah, I didn’t expect the effect of Bawang Putih to be this significant, but alhamdulillah, I am grateful," she continued.

1. Revalina Awet Muda

Many people assess that Revalina's face remains youthful even though she has been in the entertainment industry for quite a long time. Hearing that praise, she wonders what the secret is behind her fresh appearance.

"Masya Allah, I also wonder, what is the recipe for staying young, and I didn’t expect it," said Revalina.

However, she realizes that the roles offered to her are starting to change, adjusting to her increasingly mature age.

"I’m no longer at that stage, I’m not the older sister anymore, the roles are no longer for teenagers. The roles now are mostly mothers with one, two, or three children, and their children are already in high school. That means, 'wow, I’m really old now'," she added.

2. Not Used to It Yet

Although she feels not yet accustomed to the roles of mothers, Revalina remains professional and tries to accept the change with an open heart. "I’m not used to the roles of mothers yet, but I really have to carry it out and accept it, to embrace," she said.

For her, the most important thing is to continue acting and creating in the entertainment world that has elevated her name. Additionally, support from her family is also the main motivation in her career.

"I just embrace it, I’m grateful I can still act, and thank God my family always supports me," she concluded.
