Annisa Maharani Alzahra Mahesa was officially inaugurated as the youngest member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) for the 2024-2029 period on October 1, 2024. She is 23 years old and represents the Gerindra Party for the electoral district of Banten II.
In the 2024 Legislative Election, Annisa successfully garnered 122,470 votes, making her the candidate with the most votes in her district, surpassing other senior politicians.
Annisa has a strong educational background, earning a degree in Management from the University of Indonesia and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
"My hope is that I can advocate for important issues that are relevant to all of us, such as education, the digital economy, and the welfare of women and children," wrote Annisa Maharani Alzahra Mahesa.
Based on the wealth report, Annisa has a total wealth of Rp5.87 billion, including land and buildings worth Rp2.57 billion.
She is the daughter of the late Desmond Junaidi Mahesa, a former member of the DPR and a 1998 activist. Annisa acknowledges that she feels a great responsibility to continue her father's legacy, who was known for being critical and vocal in politics.
