Artist Tamara Tyasmara attended the sentencing hearing in the case of her child's death, Andante Khalif Pramudityo, affectionately known as Dante. The hearing, which took place at the East Jakarta District Court on Monday, November 4, 2024, sentenced the defendant Yudha Arfandi to 20 years in prison. Here are the details.
On that occasion, Tamara, who is the ex-wife of Angger Dimas, was seen crying several times in the visitor's chair, reminiscing about Dante, who is now gone.
"Yeah, of course I cried, it’s impossible not to cry. And that’s what they don’t know because they’ve never felt it and for 20 years they compared," said Tamara Tyasmara at the East Jakarta District Court on Monday (4/11/2024).
During the hearing, the judge stated that Yudha Arfandi's actions were categorized as premeditated murder, which added to the mixed feelings in Tamara's heart. Regarding this, Tamara felt a little relieved because there was finally clarity in the case that had overshadowed her life all this time.
"Yes, but I also feel relieved because all this time it felt kind of gray, and today there’s relief, there’s anger, it’s all mixed up," she said.
"But thankfully I am always surrounded by good people. Yes, it was very clear earlier, but yesterday it wasn't so clear, but just now it felt like," he continued.
However, the 20-year prison sentence for Yudha Arfandi does not fully satisfy Tamara's extended family. They believe the punishment is not fair enough, especially considering that the defendant plans to appeal.
"The whole family wants to discuss first, surely the panel of judges, the public prosecutor, and the police have worked hard for this and we will work hard to achieve justice," he concluded.
