After graduating from high school in 1993, he chose to pursue a career in the arts despite actually wanting to go to college. This was due to his family's financial condition that prevented him from continuing to higher education.

However, after a year in the art world, he finally enrolled in ASTI and was accepted with the education fees obtained from his work. Even so, his father still hoped that he would continue his education at the State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Gunung Jati, Bandung.

In 1994, Irfan started studying at the Faculty of Da'wah. This decision was influenced by his very religious family environment.

Although majoring in Communication and Islamic Broadcasting, Irfan remained active in the art world. He joined the KABUMI choir group at IKIP Bandung, where he gained many experiences, including in the field of dance, which took him to Europe and Japan.

Because Irfan Hakim has a great interest in animals and is known to have many pets at home, he decided to build an aviary that resembles a mini forest to provide a habitat suitable for these animals' needs.

This project was carried out on a land area of 600 m2 with a construction cost of Rp. 700 million and took almost two years. This aviary houses 300 birds of various species, including sparrows and hummingbirds, as well as 7 sulcata tortoises and 4 Pardalis tortoises.

The inauguration of this aviary was attended by Bambang Soesatyo, Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of Indonesia (MPR RI) and also the Advisor of the Indonesian Zoological Gardens Association (PKBSI), on October 30, 2021.
