"Wow, this is a really great question. So, it has become my habit that during the month of Ramadan, I always drink herbal empon-empon during suhoor," said Dicky when met on Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, recently. Let's check it out in full! If not now, when, KapanLagi?

This recipe, according to him, is the result of his wife's experiments. Initially, Dicky was hesitant to try it, but after seeing the positive effects on his wife, he started consuming it regularly.

"If my wife doesn't get drunk, I drink it too, like that. It turns out that my wife drinks healthily, so I drink it too," he said while laughing.

The benefits of this herbal drink are very noticeable for Dicky, especially in preventing colds and maintaining fitness amid the changing sleep patterns during Ramadan. "The sleep cycle is different. I don’t sleep from 11 PM to 7 AM. This herbal drink helps a lot to make my body feel better and more relaxed for work," he explained.

Interestingly, he only consumes this herbal drink during Ramadan. Dicky has even prepared a stock of herbal ingredients since the beginning of the fasting month. "I think I only drink it for Ramadan. I stocked up on a lot of ginger, my kitchen looks like a market," he said.

The process of making the herbal drink is done by his wife, who cuts and packages the ingredients into small packets. In fact, Dicky often brings the herbal drink to share with his colleagues. "Sometimes during briefings, I hand it out to my friends. Everyone likes it, and some even say it makes them feel fresh and helps with gas, so they don't get a cold," he said while laughing.

Dicky feels grateful to have this healthy tradition during Ramadan. According to him, maintaining health is the key to performing worship more optimally. "The important thing is to keep the body fit, worship smoothly, and work is not disturbed. That's why this herbal drink is my go-to," he concluded.
