Legendary musician Fariz RM has been arrested again for drug abuse. This time he was immediately named a suspect.
Fariz RM was arrested in Bandung, West Java on February 17, 2025 after evidence of his involvement in the purchase of the illegal goods was found.
During his arrest, the police successfully secured evidence in the form of meth and marijuana. Fariz RM was known to have obtained these from a man with the initials ADK.
In a press conference at the South Jakarta Police Station, Fariz RM expressed his regret for falling back into that dark circle.
"Assalamualaikum. I apologize to my family, wife, and children as well as to my colleagues for this unexpected incident," said Fariz RM at the South Jakarta Police, Thursday (20/2/2025).
"Of course (I regret it). Because every time I finish a case, I stop, but the pressures of popularity become a burden that causes me to slip again," Fariz RM revealed.
He admitted that every time he successfully broke free from drug entanglements, the pressures that came from his popularity made him slip back again.
