7 Photos of Kimberly Ryder, Disappointed Edward Akbar Has Yet to Attend Mediation - The Existence of the Car Remains a Mystery

The case of the alleged car embezzlement reported by Kimberly Ryder against her ex-husband, Edward Akbar, is still in the investigation stage. Kimberly reported this case to the South Jakarta Metro Police on June 27, 2024. However, until now, Edward has not provided clarification regarding the car that is the subject of the case.

Kimberly's attorney, Machi Ahmad, stated that they have received a notification letter regarding the progress of the investigation (SP2HP) from the South Jakarta Metro Police investigator. The letter mentioned that Edward has not responded to the mediation summons or clarification.

"I have also tried to DM him personally on social media, but there has been no response. He promised yesterday in May for further mediation, and he has also been invited by the South Jakarta Metro Police," said Machi Ahmad when met at the police station on Wednesday (18/6/2025).

According to Machi, Edward's previous legal counsel has also stated that they are no longer handling the case. This has completely severed communication between Kimberly and Edward. It is even said that Edward's number is no longer active.

"Information from his legal counsel, Mr. Jundri, indicates that they also no longer hold power of attorney from the reported party. This makes it difficult for us to communicate as well," added Machi.

In the SP2HP, the investigator also requested Edward to attend a clarification call and bring the car that is the subject of the case. The whereabouts of the car are still unknown and it has become a crucial point in the investigation process.

"If the car has been sold without my client Kimberly Ryder's knowledge, then the potential for criminal charges will be strong," emphasized Machi.

Kimberly only received a one-sided confirmation from Edward that the car is "still there." However, there is no further certainty regarding the physical location of the car or the status of its vehicle registration certificate (BPKB).

"He didn't mention it. He just conveyed 'the car is still there,'" Kimberly said.

Currently, the case is still under investigation. The legal representatives hope that the investigators can officially summon Edward soon so that the case can progress to the investigation stage if sufficient criminal elements are found.
