The Minister of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia, Meutya Hafid, recently invited her husband and child to visit her former school in Singapore.

Unlike today, where everything is easy with the internet and smartphones, Meutya Hafid revealed what her condition was like when she was in school at the age of 15.

Taking a photo in front of her school sign, Crescent Girls School, the woman born on May 3, 1978, wants to teach her child about independence and struggle later on.

In her Instagram post, Meutya Hafid wrote, "Lyora is now 2 years and 4 months old. As much as I can, I want to start taking her to my old school and her mother's campus. This time to Crescent Girls School, Singapore."

"This school was memorable because at the age of 15, I learned to live independently far from my family, in a neighboring country, at a time when international calls still had to use public phones and were expensive! Because mobile phones and the internet were almost non-existent, my conversation partners and the ones I shared perspectives and joys and sorrows with were my school friends," she continued.

Due to limitations in learning media, she also mentioned, "A simple analog calculator, at that time, was the only machine that accompanied me. School became the main world for students back then. Lyora needs to understand that later."

With a bit of nostalgia, she also wants to emphasize to her child to be able to live independently and be brave to fight.
