"This year for Lunar New Year, we are just gathering with family. Because on ordinary days we can't, right, due to busy schedules," said Sarwendah in the Cipete area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (29/1/2025).
As part of the tradition, this former Cherrybelle member enjoys traditional Lunar New Year dishes with her family. Some foods that are always present during the Lunar New Year celebration at her home are layer cake and noodles, which symbolize good fortune and longevity.Â
"Definitely eating layer cake so that blessings come in layers, eating noodles, and a lot more," said Sarwendah.
In addition, Sarwendah also prepares red envelopes for her relatives. "I prepare and give red envelopes to the children and siblings, because that's what they are waiting for," she explained.
For Sarwendah, this year's Lunar New Year is more than just a celebration. She wants to enjoy simple happiness with her family and children. Seeing her loved ones happy has become a happiness of its own for her.
"Just be happy, what's important is to enjoy being with family and the kids, seeing the kids happy makes me happy," said Sarwendah
