Rieta Amilia Reveals the Reason She Still Enjoys Traveling Even Though She's No Longer Young

The 61-year-old woman added that for her, now is the right time for traveling. She does not want to postpone it until she is older because she is worried it will complicate her children's lives.

"There is a time for traveling, there is a time for traveling. Later when we are old, walking will be difficult. It will trouble the children, trouble others. That's what mom thinks," she said.  

When asked about her favorite destination, Rieta admitted that every journey has its own excitement. However, she prefers countries with a suitable climate to remain comfortable during her vacation.

"Actually, everything is fun for mom. But, I mean, if the moment is too cold, mom doesn't want that, you know. If it's too hot, I also don't want that, so we choose countries that are just right for us at mom's age," she explained.

Although she often travels, Rieta revealed that her children are not too worried about this hobby of hers. As long as she maintains her health, they provide full support.

"Not really. They know that, my mom is still, thank God still able. In the sense that she can still take care of her health. But don’t let her get too tired, that’s for sure," she revealed.  

Rieta also mentioned several destinations that she hasn’t had the chance to visit, such as Africa and some parts of America. She hopes to visit those places someday. "Mom hasn’t been to Africa yet, that’s still pending. She hasn’t been to all of America yet," she said. 

Interestingly, Rieta often travels with Desiree Tarigan, the mother of Bams from ex-SamsonS. They choose to travel together because they feel more at ease without the constraints of family responsibilities.   

"That's right, because we are both free. In the sense that if I have many friends, but if someone has a husband, we can't be free to go out together, it wouldn't feel right. So I think if I'm with mom, we are both free," she said.

Regarding the duration of her trips, Rieta admitted that she never stays away for too long. She usually spends a maximum of three weeks when traveling abroad. "The longest we go is three weeks at most," she concluded.
