Kapanlagi.com - Artist Sarwendah celebrated Chinese New Year on January 29, 2025, in a different atmosphere. This year marks her first moment celebrating Chinese New Year without the presence of Ruben Onsu, after the two officially divorced on September 24, 2024.
Nevertheless, Sarwendah continues to uphold traditions with her family and loved ones. For Sarwendah, the celebration of Chinese New Year is synonymous with togetherness, especially when it comes to sharing meals with family.
As a Chinese descendant, she feels that this moment is something that cannot be missed.
"Because my parents are pure Chinese, we definitely should have meals at home," said Sarwendah in the Tendean area of South Jakarta recently.
In addition to dining together, she also holds various traditional Chinese New Year customs at her home.
Sarwendah ensures the celebration remains festive by featuring lion dances and distributing red envelopes to family and relatives.
"At home, we invite the lion dance, give out red envelopes, and eat together with family," she said.
Even without Ruben, Sarwendah still chooses to celebrate Chinese New Year simply at home. This is done because after the celebration, she has to continue filming with the children and family.
"Must stay at home because I want to shoot with the kids and family. Yes, just celebrate at home with close friends and family," she concluded.
