Kapanlagi.com - Sad news comes from presenter Indra Bekti. His stepmother, Setro Partini, passed away on Wednesday (29/1/2024) at 02:00 WIB at Muhammadiyah Hospital, Jakarta.
Indra Bekti revealed that his mother had complications due to very high blood sugar levels before she finally breathed her last.
"So this deceased is my stepmother. From her history, she indeed had diabetes. So since Sunday she collapsed due to high blood sugar and was taken to the hospital, and unfortunately, she passed away earlier this morning at 2 AM," said Indra Bekti at the funeral home in the Radio Dalam area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (29/1/2025).
Although she has a history of diabetes, Bekti said her mother never complained about her health condition. All this time, she has consistently taken the medication prescribed by the doctor.
"She never complained of pain. But she does have sugar (diabetes). There are several medications that need to be taken, and she is actually diligent about taking her medicine.
Maybe she overate yesterday or something, it's just age. Allah is the one who determines," he explained.
According to Bekti, her mother's blood sugar has been high for a long time, but it has never been as severe as what just happened. This time, her condition suddenly worsened, causing her body to collapse.
"If the sugar has been high for a long time, it has just never been this severe. This is the first time it suddenly spiked so high that it was said the sugar level couldn't be detected due to the high illness," said Bekti.
Setro Partini's condition became increasingly critical after she fell out of bed. At that time, the family immediately took her to the hospital for medical treatment. The medical team had made various efforts to save her life. "So she collapsed, fell out of bed, and was immediately taken to Muhammadiyah Hospital. It turned out there were six attempts made to try to bring her back with the help of doctors. But maybe Allah has determined the best path for Mother," said Indra Bekti.

The remains of Setro Partini were buried at the Tanah Kusir Public Cemetery (TPU), South Jakarta. Indra Bekti and family accompanied their mother to her final resting place.
