Forty days after the passing of her husband, Ibrahim Sjarief Assegaf, Najwa Shihab held a tahlilan for the deceased. The event, which took place on Sunday, June 29, 2025, was held solemnly at Al-Barkah Mosque in Jeruk Purut, South Jakarta, and attended by the extended family, close friends, and several important figures.

The tahlilan was led directly by Najwa's father, Prof. Quraish Shihab, who recited prayers and delivered a meaningful message to the guests. On Sunday (June 29, 2025), Najwa Shihab held a tahlilan for the 40th day after the passing of her beloved husband, Ibrahim Sjarief Assegaf. The tahlilan took place at Al-Barkah Mosque in Jeruk Purut, which was also the location for the funeral prayer for the deceased on the day of burial.

In that moment, Najwa was seen accompanied by her only son, Izzat Ibrahim Assegaf. She appeared to still be in mourning even though it had been 40 days since her husband left.

This event was led by Najwa Shihab's father, Prof. Quraish Shihab, who prayed for his late son-in-law and also delivered a spiritual reminder to the invited guests.

Najwa also shared this moment on Instagram. She wrote a touching message that although it has been 40 days since Ibrahim's departure, her and her son's love for Ibrahim has never faded.
