The divorce trial of Asri Welas and Galiech Rahardja resumed at the Religious Court of Depok, West Java, on Tuesday (31/12/2024). This session presented two witnesses proposed by Asri, namely the housekeeper and her personal driver. They provided statements regarding the couple's household life, including the frequent quarrels. Here are the details.

"No (it doesn't weigh heavily), they are witnesses who see us every day, so there is nothing that weighs heavily. It's just the way it is; we often quarrel, the driver knows, the assistant knows. So it's not a burden because that's how it is," said Galiech Rahardja at the Religious Court of Depok, West Java, on Tuesday (31/12/2024).

Galiech acknowledged that the testimonies of the witnesses were in accordance with the facts. He explained that they witnessed the frequent arguments between him and Asri, but did not know the details of the causes.

"You could say that (they saw). They could hear, but did not know the details," said Galiech.

Galiech revealed that the difference in principles was the main cause of the quarrel that occurred. Although both had tried to find a middle ground, they were unable to resolve their differences.

"I have said from the beginning that only I and Ms. Asri know. But it's more about differing perspectives, that's why we keep going back and forth, it's a principle, so that's what we keep trying to find a middle ground for, but this is the way it has to be," he explained.

Asri Welas was absent again from this trial and was represented by her attorney, Sifra Pangabean. Her absence was due to her work abroad.
