"So easy for us to take things for granted. Electricity, water, transportation. It’s not easy there while here it’s our daily life. So it’s embarrassing because we often complain about small things. Be grateful, starting with little things around us," she added.

"The nature of Papua is very beautiful. From the moment we got off the plane, we were directly spoiled by it. It truly indulges the eyes. The land of Papua looks like a painting created by God and the view everywhere is amazing. Papeda, shrimp, smoked chicken were also all delicious. Seeing God's creations with their respective greatness makes me amazed at how God and nature work." he praised.

"Many think Wamena is dangerous and full of conflict, but during my time there, thank God it was very safe. The people were pleasant and welcomed us with open arms...," said the wife of Pratama Arhan. She even played soccer with the cheerful children there.

"People there are strong inside and out. Their feet have also become so strong that walking barefoot doesn’t seem to be a struggle. Of course, these amazing children are supported by their equally strong mothers. To sell their goods, they have to walk three hours to the city while carrying sweet potatoes and carrying their children. Even in sickness, they’d still walk a distance of three hours to the health center. With every limitation they endure, I still see them persistent and full of spirit. It truly makes me admire them," she continued.

Allow me to share some experiences and lessons during my time in Wamena, Papua," said Azizah (12/4/2025) full of gratitude.

"Those younger siblings over there who made me fall in love with Papua. They have many advantages: sharp eyes, extraordinary navigation skills even without lights, footwear, or watches. Seeing them enthusiastic, diligent, and having high aspirations gives a lot of hope," she expressed.

"The younger siblings in Wamena who are always enthusiastic in every situation inspire me to become better & Papua opens my eyes that Indonesia has so much natural beauty & extraordinary culture but still needs our help. Let's help more, be more grateful especially those of us who are more fortunate. Start from ourselves, to set an example for the younger ones who never lose their spirit. Stay positive everyone!"
