Kapanlagi.com - Artist Chand Kelvin is enjoying a happy moment as an expectant father. His wife, Dea Sahirah's pregnancy, is now almost five months along. The pregnancy process has been going smoothly so far.
"Alhamdulillah, it’s going well, please pray for us to be blessed with a good and perfectly healthy child both physically and mentally," said Chand Kelvin when met in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, recently.
As a husband, Chand is trying to support his wife as best as he can. He admits to being a vigilant husband and is starting to learn his role as a father.
"(If cravings) are still under control, I don't like to smell the scents that he used to like. So it's the opposite. I become a vigilant husband, ready to take care. Learning to be a father," he said.
Currently, the couple Chand Kelvin and his wife are preparing for the birth of their first child. Chand mentioned that the gender of their future child is likely a boy. "God willing, a boy, just pray for us," Chand revealed.
He also shared that Dea's pregnancy brings many new experiences for him. He tries to keep his wife's mood happy because it is believed to affect the condition of the fetus.
"The pregnancy from one to four months is really well taken care of, now it's just about making my wife happy. Keeping my wife's mood always happy, whatever she feels will be felt by the child," he said.
Regarding the delivery process, Dea wants to give birth naturally. However, they are still preparing for any possibilities that may occur.
"My wife wants a natural birth. But we'll see what happens in the future; we have attended prenatal exercise classes, learned theory, etc., even consulted with a psychologist and doctor. Hopefully, everything goes smoothly," Chand explained.
Chand also expressed his hopes regarding the gender of their child. Although both of them want a boy, Chand emphasized that he will accept whatever God gives them.
