Not many people know that Erwin Prasetya was not fired from Dewa 19 as rumored. Also, not many people know that this former bassist of Dewa 19 often creates advertising jingles and produces songs for many other artists.

Now Erwin has passed away, and some facts about this great former bassist will always be remembered. Rest in peace, Erwin.

Erwin Prasetya is one of the founders of Dewa 19 along with Ahmad Dhani. He joined from the beginning until the album Pandawa Lima. Then became an additional player on the album Bintang Lima and returned as a permanent member on the album Cintailah Cinta.

In 1997, Erwin received an award as the best songwriter at the AMI event for the song Kirana. And in 2000, he was crowned as the Most Popular Bassist by News Musik magazine.

After the album Cintailah Cinta, Erwin left Dewa 19. Then he joined NUKLa with Katon, Adi, Lilo, and Yul. This band released 1 album titled New Chapter.

After leaving Dewa 19, Erwin often became an additional player. One of them is helping the album by TIC Band titled Suara Anak Adam.

In 2006, Erwin joined the EVO project, which was looking for their vocalist through a reality show. This project only lasted with 1 album, then disbanded.

Already both released from Dewa 19, it didn't make Erwin's relationship with Ari distant. In the Sendiri Dulu album, Erwin helped Ari produce and write the songs Misteri Illahi and Relakan Aku Pergi.

Erwin also made an album together with Wawan Juniarso, the former drummer of Dewa 19. They formed a band named Matadewa and Erwin included the song Kirana in this album.

Erwin returned to Surabaya for several years and only returned to Jakarta 3 years ago. Although no longer in a band, Erwin is busy with projects making advertisement jingles, one of which is starred by Siti Badriah.
