Accidentally Meeting Ex-Husband After 10 Years, Rieke Diah Pitaloka: Children React Positively

Kapanlagi.com - Actress Rieke Dyah Pitaloka accidentally met her ex-husband, Donny Gahral Adian, while at a mall. They crossed paths while riding the escalator.

Apparently, since their divorce on January 13, 2015, the actress who played Oneng in the series Bajaj Bajuri has never communicated with her ex-husband. That's why she was grateful when they met at the mall, finally making peace with the past.

"We met accidentally like that," said Rieke Diah Pitaloka in Depok, West Java, on Wednesday (3/4).

1. Former Husband and Twin Children

The woman, who is also involved in politics, felt that her meeting with her ex-husband was arranged by God. Moreover, at that time, they each brought Misesa Adiansyah and Jalumanon Badrika, their twin children.

"I went to a mall with one of the twin children, while the other twin is obviously with their father. Then, their father wanted to go downstairs, while I wanted to go upstairs. Allah made us meet on the escalator," she said while laughing.

Although their twin children initially teased them, Rieke is grateful because they are happy that their parents have reconciled.

"The kids are so cheeky. Oh, they are extraordinary children. But I see how happy they are when their parents are in harmony, they can talk again, they can discuss," said Rieke.

2. No Intention to Reconcile

Initially, after the divorce, Rieke was determined to raise her child alone, even without the help of her ex-husband. Over time, she realized that raising a child is not just about material things, because the role of both parents is important as a reflection for the child.

"I always say, 'I can raise my child alone'. But raising a child is not just about material things, there should be a father figure and a mother figure that serve as a mirror for them," she explained.

Although they have maintained a relationship, the 50-year-old woman emphasized that there is no intention to reconcile. Currently, her focus is on what she does for her children.

"When I decide to choose someone, I never hesitate. But once I decide to leave, there is no turning back," she concluded.
