Accused of Cheating with Arya Claproth, Here's Why Marshanda Didn't Report Karen Pooroe to the Police

At that time, Marshanda chose to remain silent and not report Karen for defamation. The reason is that she knows what kind of person her former manager is, who is considered unstable.

"Why from the beginning I was accused, said to have an affair with Arya, I don't mind, because in my opinion, I already feel sorry for Karen. She has suffered a lot in her life, even since she was little. I think it's not fair to sue her for defamation. This person has suffered enough," Marshanda said when met by the media at the Bandung District Court last Tuesday (16/2/2021).

1. Experience Traumatic Events

Marshanda explains that when Karen Pooroe was a child, she experienced traumatic events. It is not surprising that as an adult, she became someone who is unstable in her behavior, even to the point of contemplating suicide.

"It's not just Arya's story, but Karen herself said that she had experienced traumatic events in her childhood by her uncle. So it makes me think, oh it's understandable that a woman like her is emotionally unstable and has a tendency to want to commit suicide every time she is stressed," continued Marshanda.

2. Conflict with Karen Pooroe

Furthermore, Marshanda revealed that her relationship with Karen Pooroe was once so close, like family, despite Karen's position as her manager. However, in 2015, their relationship deteriorated and continues to be strained until now.

"I clashed with Karen after she had been my manager for a while. During the clash, I said, 'You don't need to give me advice because you're not loyal to your husband.' So Karen knew that I knew about her affair. But I didn't tell Arya. I only told Arya's father," said Marshanda.

"Before it became public, after the clash, I sent a long voice note apologizing to Karen and Arya. It explained why we had misunderstandings in the past. We were so close, like a family. Arya replied, but Karen did not. At that time, they were about to start the divorce process," said the singer of the song Pasangan Yang Tepat.
