Accused of Selling Religion Because Often Posting Recitation Videos, Aldi Taher: What Else Should I Sell?

When asked about his response to the accusation of selling religion, Aldi Taher does not deny it. He admits that it is one of his ways to spread goodness to netizens.

"So reading the Quran, according to netizens, is to seek popularity so that they will be chosen, selling religion, yes, indeed. So what else should I sell? Sell crimes? Of course not accepted," said Aldi Taher, as quoted from Dewi Perssik's Youtube channel (18/09).

1. Has Been Studying Since Cancer

Denying allegations that he only studies for image, Aldi Taher speaks up. He admits that he has been doing it since he was diagnosed with cancer some time ago.

"I posted the Quran before I participated in the election, I have posted it before as well, Aldi Taher recovered from cancer because of reading the Quran, the Quran is a cure for all diseases," he explained.

2. Want to Invite Leaders

Seemingly not bothered, Aldi Taher refuses to respond to negative comments. In fact, because of that, he is motivated to invite leaders in Indonesia to study the Quran together.

"If it is said that I am selling religion, that is wrong. Can religion be sold? Instead, I say Bismillah and invite Mr. Jokowi, Anies Baswedan, and Prabowo to read the Quran for blessings," he concluded.
