Accused of Sexual Harassment, Hotman Paris Denies and Plans to Report Iqlima Kim for Defamation

Kapanlagi.com - Lawyer Hotman Paris has been accused of serious allegations by his former personal assistant, Iqlima Kim. Iqlima claimed that she had been sexually harassed by Hotman.

Not staying silent about the allegations, Hotman firmly denied them. In fact, he plans to report Iqlima and her lawyer.

"It's defamation and slander. I will report it to the police and their lawyer," Hotman said when contacted by reporters on Friday (29/4/2022).

Hotman also responded to the legal warning sent by Iqlima's lawyer. This flamboyant lawyer claimed that he didn't care about the warning.

"Don't bother me 24/7. I don't care what you say to your lawyer. Who are you anyway? Tell me before 7 days I will report it first," he said.

Hotman further stated that he would take the matter to court with allegations against Iqlima and her lawyer, Razman Arif Nasution, for defaming his name.

"It's defamation, so I asked him, where is the sexual harassment? Was it mentioned? Where did he ask to sleep?" he said.

Iqlima Kim has appointed lawyer Razman Arif Nasution to help her with the problem she is facing with famous lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea.

As a former personal assistant of Hotman Paris, Iqlima claimed that she had received a lot of mistreatment while working for him, and even experienced sexual harassment.

The sexual harassment she experienced was not only physical but also verbal. "Physical, verbal, non-verbal, it's all there," said Iqlima in Kuningan, Jakarta, on Friday (29/4/2022).

Iqlima claimed that Hotman did not threaten her when he committed the alleged sexual harassment.

"There was no threat, but when I refused his wishes, I was insulted," she said.

Meanwhile, from the story and evidence presented by Iqlima, Razman concluded that Hotman had committed a legal violation.

"The point is that from the conversations that Mr. Hotman had with my client, Ms. Iqlima, I strongly suspect that he has committed acts of harassment and indecency," he said.

4. Incident in February 2022

Razman also added a statement from Iqlima. He said that the alleged sexual harassment experienced by his client occurred in February 2022. At that time, Iqlima was in a car with Hotman.

"He has done something inappropriate and inhumane in the car," he said.

5. Sending a Summons to Hotman Paris

Before taking further action, as Iqlima's lawyer, Razman will first send a summons to Hotman for clarification.

"I firmly request that Hotman meet me at 7am if not, I will bring this matter to the media and the legal realm in a clear and transparent manner. As Iqlima's legal representative, I will immediately send a letter to the authorities, including LPSK and Komnas Perempuan," he said.
