Actor Dwi Sasono Arrested for Drug Possession at His Home, One Day After Eid

1. Arrested on May 26

The spokesperson of the Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner Yusri Yunus, at the South Jakarta Police Station on Monday (6/1/2020) provided information regarding the arrest of DS, which occurred on Tuesday (5/26/2020), just a few days after Eid.

"Actually, since the 26th, May 26th yesterday. Around 8 p.m., the Narcotics Unit of the South Jakarta Police Station has apprehended someone who is a public figure, with the initials DS, at his own residence in Pondok Labu, Cilandak, South Jakarta. This is based on a report from the public, and an investigation was conducted, revealing that there is someone who is currently a fugitive, and we are still pursuing him, with the initials C, who often distributes marijuana," explained Commissioner Yusri.

2. Arrested at Home

Prior to being apprehended, the authorities had been monitoring DS. When he was arrested at his home, DS was cooperative and did not resist, even showing where he had hidden his illegal items.

"During the search at DS's residence, nearly 16 grams of marijuana were found hidden on top of a wardrobe in a certain location. Without resistance, the person involved cooperatively showed the evidence that he had already possessed, which he obtained from the individual with the initials C. This is his confession. Currently, he is still under investigation, and we are still exploring the possibility of other perpetrators besides the fugitive C. This is being further investigated by the team," concluded Commissioner Yusri.
