First Trial Held, Lucinta Luna Faces Additional Charges Related to Possession of Ecstasy

Kapanlagi.com - The first trial of the drug case involving Lucinta Luna was held on Wednesday (27/5) at the West Jakarta District Court. Due to miscommunication, Lucinta attended the trial without her legal representation.

As known, Lucinta Luna's lawyer was supposed to be in the courtroom to provide a power of attorney letter. However, it turned out that the lawyer was at the Pondok Bambu Detention Center. Nevertheless, the trial proceeded via video conference.

1. No Exceptions

After the Public Prosecutor (JPU) read the indictment, Lucinta Luna was asked to submit an exception or objection. After being a little confused for a few moments, the singer of the song Jom Jom Manjalita said that she had no objection to the contents of the indictment.

"There are no noble objections," said Lucinta Luna, as quoted in a video conference.

2. Additional Charges Imposed

During the reading of the indictment, it was revealed that Lucinta Luna faced additional charges. In addition to the possession of riklona, she was also proven to have ecstasy and was charged with violating Article 112 Paragraph 1 of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

"Ayluna Putri is charged with psychotropic drugs under Article 60 and 62 of Law No. 5 of 1997 and (additional article) narcotics related to the possession and abuse of ecstasy, with a penalty of four years," said Asep Hasan Sofyan, the prosecutor, when interviewed at the West Jakarta District Court.

3. Next Meeting Agenda

Since there were no exceptions from Lucinta Luna, the trial ended. The next trial will be held next Wednesday with the agenda of hearing witness testimonies.

"After receiving the charges, there were no exceptions. Next week, there will be a trial to examine the witnesses. There are nine witnesses from the Public Prosecutor's Office," concluded Asep.
