Kapanlagi.com - The case file of the alleged drug abuse case involving Lucinta Luna has been submitted to the West Jakarta District Court. The first trial has been scheduled and is planned to be held on May 27, 2020, or several days after Eid. Eko Aryanto, the spokesperson of the West Jakarta District Court, explained that May 27 was originally a public holiday.
However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the government revoked the public holiday that was originally scheduled for May 26-29 and rescheduled it for December 28-31, 2020. Therefore, the West Jakarta District Court will proceed with the trial after Eid. Due to the pandemic situation, the first trial of Lucinta Luna will be conducted online.
"May 27 is no longer a public holiday, so it's not a day off. The trial is planned to be conducted online," said Eko Aryanto when contacted on Tuesday (19/5).
As for the agenda of the first hearing of the alleged drug abuse case involving Lucinta Luna, it is the reading of the indictment letter by the Public Prosecutor with the Panel of Judges chaired by Eko Aryanto S.H, M.H, accompanied by two Judge members namely Masrizal, S.H, M.H and Purwanto, S.H.
"The first hearing is the reading of the indictment letter," said Eko Aryanto, adding that the transfer of Lucinta Luna's case files had entered the West Jakarta District Court on May 15, 2020.
Meanwhile, when contacted separately, Milano Lubis, who was initially appointed as Lucinta Luna's lawyer, admitted that he no longer had the authority to handle the trial of the alleged drug abuse case involving Lucinta Luna. "I am no longer representing Lucinta Luna. She chose a defense attorney from her family," said Milano Lubis.
As it is known, Lucinta Luna faces a minimum sentence of four years in prison after being arrested and designated as a suspect in drug abuse by the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit on February 11. For her actions, Lucinta Luna is considered to have violated Article 112 paragraph (1) or Article 127 paragraph (1) of the Indonesian Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics and Article 60 paragraph (3) or Article 62 of Law Number 5 of 1997 concerning psychotropic substances.
