Afraid of the ITE Law, Deddy Corbuzier Prohibits Offline Podcast Audience from Recording Using Phones: If You Say Something Wrong, It Can Be Prosecuted

Kapanlagi.com - Deddy Corbuzier is one of seventeen podcasters who appeared on the Ngobrol Untuk Indonesia Maju program initiated by Putri Tanjung. For approximately one and a half hours, he will monologue and present the Close The Door program offline in front of hundreds of audience members.

Deddy has special regulations for the general public who want to watch his offline podcast. Namely, not to record using any camera medium.

"I ask not to be recorded because not all Indonesians have progressed. If it is recorded, it will spread everywhere. I'm not afraid of my own words and the audience, I'm afraid of the ITE Law," said Deddy Corbuzier when met at Plaza Indonesia, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (3/8/2023).

1. The Information and Electronic Transactions Law Can Be Edited

In his monologue on the Ngobrol Untuk Indonesia Maju program, Deddy Corbuzier will talk about anything related to Indonesia. Because he is afraid that his words can be cut and misused, that's why he prohibits recording.

"The Information and Electronic Transactions Law can actually be edited. That's why we have to be careful about entering defamation and so on. Moreover, many people don't understand the Information and Electronic Transactions Law, so if someone cuts and circulates it, it becomes a problem," Deddy emphasized.

2. Not Inviting Speakers to Chat

For one and a half hours, Deddy Corbuzier will not invite speakers to appear on the offline podcast together with Ngobrol Untuk Indonesia Maju on August 27. This is done because his ideas will not come out if he engages in question and answer.

"I'm tired, every day my job is podcasting with speakers. If there is a conversation partner, the ideas I want to express will not come out and it will only become a question and answer," Deddy explained.
