After Being Successfully Sung by Afgan in 2017, the Song 'Setia Menunggu' Makes a Comeback with a New Singer

Kapanlagi.com - After being successfully performed previously by Afgan in 2107 and becoming the OST of London Love Story 2, Badai remakes the single 'Setia Menunggu' by finding a new 22-year-old star from social media named Syanell.

The woman with the full name Syanella Pingkan Basrijal has a smooth vocal color in falsetto, and her ability to interpret this song makes it a new version by Syanell.

This song, 'Setia Menunggu,' tells the story of someone who remains faithful to their love to stay with them, even if fate is not on their side. When met in the Kemayoran area, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday afternoon (5/25), Syenell admitted to being nervous, so she said that she had to prepare mentally to sing this song.

"Nervous, but still excited. I have to prepare my vocals and my mental state so that I can sing this song well," said Syenell.

Syenell also admitted to encountering difficulties when asked to sing the song 'Setia Menunggu'. Especially, she had a lot of difficulty in understanding each line of the song.

"The first time I was given the opportunity, I was honored because I really like Kak Badai's works. It was really heartwrenching, especially in terms of understanding. But after receiving comments, I felt it more and now I can understand it better," she said.

In addition, as the songwriter of the song, Badai mentioned that Syanell is a fast learner, especially since he sees potential in her. Therefore, he is very confident that Syanell is ready to compete in the music industry.

"Her learning process is fast, it would be difficult for someone without potential. She can sing on stage, sing in Korean, and pronounce it correctly," said Badai.

"She is definitely ready. Especially after being given the opportunity, it really boosted my confidence. She is very prepared to enter the music industry," concluded Badai.
