After Captivating 23 Million Readers, The Other Side Novel Finally Adapted into a Film

She explained that the idea of making the film was discussed by the production house Lingkar Film when her novel had only 13 million readers. Not only that, Alya also had the opportunity to be involved in the screenplay development of her novel for the film.

"So when this novel was read 13 million times, many production houses contacted me to adapt it into a film. But I haven't found a production house that suits my heart, until I met Lingkar Film," said Alya Ranti in a virtual press conference on Tuesday (1/3).

"I am involved in the screenplay development. There were many discussions for the script and casting," she continued.

Readers of the novel The Other Side have responded positively to the plan of adapting the story into a film. "When it was announced to the readers, they also liked the choice of Lingkar Film. I really like The Other Side being in the right hands. I hope this film not only entertains but also provides educational value," said Alya Ranti.
